Yesiang Establishes Corporate Volunteer Firefighting Team to Strengthen Community Safety after 38 Years in Taiwan
On the morning of September 24, Yesiang held the inauguration ceremony of its Corporate Volunteer Firefighting Team. Witnessed by the Tainan City Fire Bureau Fourth Battalion and the Shanhua Fire Brigade, the company officially launched its own volunteer firefighting unit. This milestone marks Yesiang’s commitment to self-reliant disaster prevention and corporate social responsibility (CSR), while demonstrating its determination to give back to the Tainan community where it has been rooted for decades.

For more than 38 years, Yesiang has been deeply engaged in Taiwan, focusing on micro-contamination control solutions for the semiconductor and high-tech industries. Beyond serving global clients with professional expertise, the company has consistently emphasized safety and social responsibility as core values. Vice President Chuang stated:“When we learned about the Fire Bureau’s initiative to promote corporate volunteer firefighters, we immediately encouraged colleagues to participate. This not only enhances the company’s protection capabilities but also enables rapid response in emergencies to safeguard both employees and facilities.”
The new volunteer team includes professionals from Yesiang’s Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection departments. Members will undergo comprehensive firefighting training, covering disaster prevention and emergency rescue skills to strengthen their ability to respond effectively in critical situations. Moving forward, the team will play a dual role: providing first-line protection within the company’s facilities and cooperating with the Fire Bureau to assist in community disaster prevention and rescue efforts—serving as an essential bridge for self-help, mutual aid, and public assistance.

Mr. Tsai Kuo-Pao, Battalion Chief of the Tainan Fire Bureau Fourth Battalion, praised the company’s commitment and emphasized that corporate volunteer teams are becoming a vital force in safeguarding Greater Tainan. Fire Bureau Director General Mr. Lee Ming-Feng further noted that such initiatives embody the principle of “protecting one’s own property” while strengthening public safety as a whole.
Yesiang stressed that the establishment of its volunteer firefighting team is not only about protecting its own facilities but also about extending its strength to the community, creating a shared safety network between industry and society. Looking ahead, Yesiang will continue to deepen its local engagement, collaborating with government agencies and communities to build a safer and more sustainable living environment.
